The PCI Ventures 2020 Spotlight reflects on and celebrates the progress made during a year like no other. The Spotlight highlights PCI Ventures' impressive startups, profiles their dedicated company leaders, and includes examples of the unique programs and services their team provides to support this community.

The Mentor-in-Residence (MIR) Program pairs startup companies with accomplished entrepreneurs and industry leaders who serve as informal advisors. The Mentors participate in the development of PCI Ventures portfolio companies and Pennovation Center members, providing advice on business strategy, market penetration and fundraising. The Mentors also bring with them a wide network of contacts that the companies will be able to leverage.

AAPlasma LLC started in 2017, taking up a desk in a warehouse somewhere in Warminster, PA. With funding from NASA, Defense Logistics Agency, Environmental Protection Agency, and others, we set up our first lab in 2019 at the Pennovation incubator.
IQ Motion Control recently released the Vertiq 6806, the first commercial-grade drone and robotics motor module in its class. Similar to IQ’s flagship product, the Vertiq 6806 is an integrated motor and controller with an embedded position sensor. With IQ’s unique hardware design and proprietary software, the motor is designed to maximize torque output, efficiency and precision while minimizing motor cost, vibration and footprint.
