IQ Motion Control recently released the Vertiq 6806, the first commercial-grade drone and robotics motor module in its class. Similar to IQ’s flagship product, the Vertiq 6806 is an integrated motor and controller with an embedded position sensor. With IQ’s unique hardware design and proprietary software, the motor is designed to maximize torque output, efficiency and precision while minimizing motor cost, vibration and footprint. The Vertiq 6806 was designed for drone propulsion, but with IQ’s position firmware it is also the ideal module for precision robotics applications.
IQ designed both the motor and electronics while working fully remotely, but fortunately, the team was able to get back in the office together for initial testing and filming for the launch video. The Vertiq’s Crowd Supply campaign successfully raised $47,000 of its $10,000 goal. The company aims to finish its beta prototype run by mid-January.
