This month’s Pennovation Works Meet the Innovator spotlight is Gregory Dean, CEO and Founder of DriQ Health. 

Before we get to know Gregory, let’s get to know DriQ Health:

What is your current position at Allevi and how long have you been with the company?

I am currently the Chief Scientific Officer. I have been with the company for almost 3 and a half years!

What led you to where you are today?

Pennovation Works is home to an exciting mix of startups, research initiatives, and innovative companies. In this Meet the Innovator series, we will be introducing you to a member of the Pennovation Works community through a Q&A spotlight.

Since 2013, the Penn Vet Working Dog Center has been running their Canine Handler Academy, an annual summer program for middle school students, on site at their Pennovation Works facility. With the pandemic circumstances this summer, however, they had to make the quick decision to move the program online.

The Penn-founded startup will receive $30,000 in grant funding for research on microfluidic diagnostic devices.

Chip Diagnostics is the awardee of the JPOD @ Philadelphia QuickFire Challenge sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Innovation—JLABS. The Challenge was designed to accelerate healthcare innovation and commercialization within the greater Philadelphia area.

Drones have been buzzing overhead in search of storm damage. The bird's-eye photos are analyzed using artificial intelligence designed by Aerial Applications.
