Startup Grind ft. Jenn Maher, CEO of 1776 [event recap]

On Thursday, December 3, 1776 invited Jenn Maher, CEO of 1776, for a chance to be interviewed for their final installment of Startup Grind: PHL. As a graduate of George Washington University and Villanova University: Charles Widger School of Law, Jenn always envisioned herself becoming an attorney and working as a partner in a successful law firm. Jenn accomplished this working as a corporate litigator and franchise attorney before discovering her next chapter as a licensed commercial real estate broker during the 2008 recession.

In 2012, Jenn and her now-husband together founded Benjamin's Desk; a co-working community of mobile professionals, entrepreneurs, and startups. Jenn recognized a need in the market and Benjamin's Desk quickly and successfully expanded. In 2018, Benjamin's Desk merged with Washington, D.C. based public-benefit corporation 1776; creating the largest network of entrepreneurial incubators in the Northeast Corridor.

Jenn shared her dedication to making a place reflective of her members; championing diversity and women in leadership. Jenn spends her free time raising her two kids and training for and participating in endurance events – she’s completed ten marathons, two 140.6 Ironmans, and four 70.3 Ironmans so far.
