The Purina Pet Care Innovation Prize at the Pennovation Center [event recap]

The Purina Pet Care Innovation Prize, in conjunction with Ben Franklin Partnership, the Penn Center for Innovation, and Pennovation Works held the Pet Care Meetup on September 21st at the Pennovation Center. Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed a panel discussion featuring successful pet startup entrepreneurs, investors, and industry executives, a showcase of the most innovative pet startups in Delaware Valley region, and learned more about the Pet Care Innovation Prize.

•    Cynthia Otto, Executive Director at Penn Vet Working Dog Center, Professor of Working Dog Sciences and Sports Medicine, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine
•    Adriann Sax, Founder & CEO, Vetigenics (2021 Startup of the Year)
•    Ryan Glenn, Director of Statewide Initiatives, Ben Franklin Technology Partners
•    Bill Broun, VP of M&A and Ventures, Nestle Purina

Through Purina’s Pet Care Innovation Prize (PCIN), $150k in non-dilutive prize money is awarded annually to pet startups. The Meetup was an amazing opportunity for attendees to network, mingle with investors and other entrepreneurs, and learn about the exciting new innovations within the pet and veterinary industries.
