Philly Tech Week 2019: Healthy Philly Presented by Tern Water [event recap]

On May 9, as the Pennovation Center's fourth and final event for Philly Tech Week 2019, member company Tern Water hosted their Healthy Philly event titled, "Understanding Our Surroundings: Unlocking the Potential to Recognize Problems as Opportunities to Build Solutions."

The 21 audience members heard from Lindsey Scannapieco, Managing Partner at Scout, about the development of the BOK Building in South Philadelphia, as well as Christopher Diaz, CEO & Founder of Serve1, about the importance of serving one's own community. Lindsey and Christopher were then joined by Anthony Guido, Head of Product at University of the Arts, and Diana Nicholas, Director MS Design Research, Drexel University, for a panel discussion on opportunities for community development and beyond.

Healthy Philly is a recurring series hosted by Tern Water with the goal of spreading health oriented ideas and initiatives in Philly.
