Philly Builds Bio+ Symposium
The Philly Builds Bio+ 3rd Annual “Bridging the Gap to Commercialization” Symposium took place in October at the Crystal Tea Room. It was a day filled with over 50 panelists discussing innovations in Philadelphia's life sciences sector.
The opening keynote, Fostering Innovation, Supporting Transformational Economic Development and Creating Opportunity in Pennsylvania was given by Jennifer Gilburg, Deputy Secretary of Technology and Entrepreneurship of Pennsylvania's Department of Community & Economic Development.
Pennovation Works Managing Director, Denita Henderson, spoke on a panel titled Startup Spotlights - Discussions with the Accelerators & Incubators Building the Philadelphia Market.
Innovation Hall was a new addition to this year’s symposium. The Hall highlighted various incubators, including Pennovation Center, and their effects on small to medium sized startups.
