On July 29th, JLABS hosted the first cross-site engagement for companies in the Boston, New York, and Philadelphia ecosystems. A total of 15 companies representing all of the Northeast sites joined to introduce themselves and their work.
This was also an opportunity to share the two new residents of the JPOD @ Philadelphia: Orthoforge and SOLUtion Medical.
- Orthoforge uses proprietary technology to quantify the stage of bone fracture healing. Their unique algorithm analyzes ultrasonic sound waves as bone and soft tissue heal from traumatic injury. This technology is highly reliable and does not expose patients or health care providers to harmful radiation.
- SOLUtion Medical recently participated in the 2020 Pennovation Accelerator and won Best Pitch at the culminating Pitch Day event (here is a recording of SOLUtion Medical's pitch, in case you missed it!). SOLUtion Medical is developing more patient-friendly delivery systems for reconstitutable drugs. With increases in complex medical treatments administered in at-home settings, ease-of-use and patient confidence are large drivers for achieving medication adherence. With its simplified delivery system, SOLUtion Medical plans to be the leader in patient-administered reconstitutable drug delivery.
