Feminine Energy: Female Founders Solving Sustainability Challenges [event recap]

Philadelphia's start up community is flourishing with projects centered around medicine, artificial intelligence, and robotics, but sustainability-focused innovation has been long overdue for its time in the spotlight. On September 30th Pennovation Works in partnership with Penn Center for Innovation hosted a virtual panel for the 2021 B. PHL Innovation Fest. Feminine Energy: Female Founders Solving Sustainability Challenges was led by Melissa Brown Goodall, Senior Director of Environmental Innovations Initiative at UPenn in discussion with three female founders as they shared best practices and experiences founding their sustainability-focused startups, solving some of today's greatest environmental and social challenges.

The conversation offers insight into how these female founders utilize local resources, including Accelerator programs, funding opportunities, and incubators, to promote and amplify their pursuits.
