The announcement of the 2026 University of Pennsylvania President’s Innovation Prize winners highlights the next generation of ideas shaping the future. Selected from a competitive pool of 67 applicants, this year’s recipients will spend the next year bringing their ventures to life.
Pennovation Works is proud to continue its partnership with the President’s Office by providing space at Pennovation Center for both Innovation and Sustainability prize winners, Serpent Robotics and Fluid Silicon.
Serpent Robotics, the Overall Winner of the 2025 Pennovation Accelerator, is developing an electric rope climbing robotic system designed to improve safety for arborists and tree care workers. By reducing risk in one of the country’s most dangerous professions, their solution represents the kind of real world impact that defines the Pennovation community.
Fluid Silicon is advancing new approaches to energy efficiency in data centers. Their platform enables chips to monitor performance changes over time and temperature, helping recover more than 30 percent of wasted energy while improving reliability without the need for costly new fabrication.
These ventures exemplify what happens when innovative thinking meets the right resources and environment. At Pennovation Works, we are excited to support their continued growth and to see how their ideas evolve into solutions that make a meaningful difference. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners.
